The Miracle Workers of France Objets Trouvés
It is a miracle. I left my laptop at the security checkpoint at CDG, Paris and didn’t realize I didn’t have my laptop for 2 days. I was in a hotel when I realized I didn’t have it and felt someone had stolen it. Then, when leaving Marrakesh and watching the people take their laptops out of their bags at security, I realized I may have left it at the security checkpoint in Paris. I don’t remove my laptop in the U.S. so I’m not accustomed to removing my laptop when going through security. I then went online and found a service that advertises finding lost items and enrolled them for $37. I waited a month and had no results. It’s now August 13 from the loss on July 2. I go back online and find France Objets Trouvés. On Tuesday, I completed their online claim form. On Wednesday, they had located my laptop. One day and I had been waiting over a month. I felt it was a miracle. I can’t begin to express my joy. They included photos of the laptop but since it had no distinguishing marks, it looked like any MacBook with the exception that they place a tag on it when it’s found and that tag had the date of July 2, the date I lost it. I paid the costs of their service (minimal) and the shipping (substantial) but far less than buying a new laptop and replacing all the information. Today is Friday and they have informed me that my laptop has been shipped, supplying me with a tracking number. This is by far the best possible service anywhere for anything. Think about it? The only way you get service this good is when you’re buying something. These people have their act together. Kudos to the people running this service and the people doing the everyday work to return the lost items, of which, I am sure, there are thousands. Thank you a thousand times over. You have made me very happy. Diane Anderson, U.S.A.
